Bro. & Sis. Dawkins moved from Eastern Canada to the west in the 1980’s. When they moved to Calgary they started making contacts. Soon they had a group together in their home for Sunday School, services and bible study. Within a year they outgrow the house and moved to Scout Club Hall in Bowness.

 

God continued to bless their efforts and in the summer of 1982 a church was organizaed with six members. There was a couple more transferred. Bro. Dawkins was appointed as the pastor.

 

Scout Club Hall in Bowness was too far out of the way for most of the membership, so they began to look for a more central location. They relocated to Spruce Cliff Community Centre. There they were able to reach more people.

 

From there they relocated to the location that they are currently at in the Hillhurst Community.
